Introduction

Since from ancient times farming remains the main business and means of livelihood for Indian people with a long tradition of 5000 years. To meet the demand of ever growing population Government has taken effective steps during mid 60’ through Green Revolution. After that use of chemical pesticides and fertilizer started increasing and at the same timen degradation of ecological cycle is started. In 1958 Kerala observed several food poisoning cases due to synthetic insecticides, in 1968 around 450 people were died due to harmful pesticide in Malda, Dinjanpur, West Bengal and Assam. To avoid such incidences and reduce pesticides use Ashwamedh has started working on organic agriculture in1999 and established farm laboratory at Kopargaon and started working of organic food cultivation using organic practice. And in 2003 successfully entered in manufacture of bio organic input for agriculture. Now Ashwamedh has developed need base alternative products to hazardous synthetic chemicals pesticides and fertilizers. After a long history different challenges arise in farming with a scientific approach developed and launched 60 products for making suitable and sustainable farming in central India.
